STM World Premiere: Somebody To Love - Justin Bieber featuring Usher

Last week, STM brought you the behind-the-scenes look of  Justin Bieber's new video for his latest single, "Somebody To Love". Now, this has got to be an exciting day for all 'Bieliebers' coz we finally get to witness the premiere of Justin's newest video, in full HD glory! The music video premiered last night on the hit TV show, 'So You Think You Can Dance' and features Usher and bad ass dance groups from the said show.

The video for "Somebody To Love" was directed by the great American music video director, Dave Meyers who also directed Britney Spears' "Lucky" and P!nk's "Don't Let Me Get Me", to name a few.

I dare say that this clip has got to be Justin Bieber's best music video so far in his career. I'm actually amazed at how Meyer treated this video. Bad ass dancing and pure epicness throughout! He really did an amazing job on the effects. The choregraphy is also nothing but bad ass. The fact that the video featured different dance groups in every scene made it entertaining to watch coz we got to see Justin Bieber's different sides. On one scene, we get to see school boy Justin with his signature cap and monster beats headphones, on  another, he's on fire  with Usher. And the best part? Justin himself danced in this clip and showed us his swagger. I'm sure a lot of his fans were thrilled to finally see him dance his butt off on a music video coz honestly, that is what's missing with this boy. He's got the complete package but he doesn't dance. I guess he finally listened to his fans and finally gave us more than what we're expecting from him. Enjoy the video after the break!

STM Back-to-Back World Premiere: If I Had You - Adam Lambert and California Gurls - Katy Perry

As promised, STM brings you the premiere of two of the most anticipated music videos today - Adam Lambert's "If I Had You" and Katy Perry's "California Gurls".

First off, Katy Perry's "California Gurls" which was directed by Mathew Cullen. True to what we saw on the teaser, the video showcased Perry's fun side. It is very colorful and I see a very huge resemblance to Fergie's "Fergalicious" video though Perry's video is a lot simpler. Go checkout the video below.

Meanwhile, Adam Lambert's music video for his third single, "If I Had You" has also premiered. The video was directed by Bryan Barber. I really see a huge resemblance to Lambert's first music video, "For Your Entertainment" - outrageous outfits, bad ass choreography and very dark lighting. Enjoy the video after the jump!

STM Teaser: Somebody To Love - Justin Bieber featuring Usher

Fans are on for a treat as Justin Bieber releases his new single "Somebody To Love" off his platinum-selling album, "My World 2.0". This time, the track was remixed to feature his mentor, Usher. The result was amazing, giving the song a more bad ass feel!

Below, we have the behind-the-scenes video for "Somebody To Love". I'm not going to make this intro any longer coz this boy needs no further introduction. One thing I can say though is that, from the looks of it, fans are going to enjoy this video a lot!

STM Chart Bits: Katy Perry Soars; 'Bionic' Underperforms

The new Billboard Hot 100 chart is now out and boy oh boy, this is moment I've been waiting for! Katy Perry soars to the top of the Billboard Hot 100 for the second time in her career with "California Gurls," the lead single from her album "Teenage Dream," due August 24. Perry previously led the list for seven weeks with "I Kissed a Girl" in the summer of 2008. I really love this song and I really wanted Katy to reach number one coz this song is very deserving to be number one. Congrats Katy! :)

On other chart news, there are 3 main competitors for the peak of next week's album chart: The soundtrack to Twilight Saga: Eclipse which is expected to debut at number one with 140,000 to 160,000 copies sold by week's end on June 13, the new soundtrack to Glee which is going for 2nd with 110,000 to 130,000 units and Christina Aguilera's comeback album, "Bionic" expected to sell around 100,000 to 120,000 units and enter the charts at number 3.

STM World Premiere: Alejandro - Lady GaGa

This is day we've all been waiting for, guys! The release of Lady GaGa's newest music video for "Alejandro", her third single off "The Fame Monster". The video, directed by famed photographer Steven Klein has got to be GaGa's most controversial music video yet! Very dark, explicit and has a deep meaning. In one scene, you see GaGa emulating vintage Madonna. I don't wanna give out more details. I suggest you check it out for yourself and be the judge. I tell you though, this is too explicit for TV! I wonder how they're going to edit this one to air on music channels! Enjoy!

MTV Movie Awards 2010 Performances

A lot of you may already know that the MTV Movie Awards 2010 has just been concluded and below we have the night's amazing performances. The first one is from Christina Aguilera who performed a medley of "Bionic", "Not Myself Tonight" and "Woohoo" off her new album, "Bionic" due out worldwide tomorrow! Well, what can I say? Aguilera nailed it! Fabulous set which is very "Bionic" with bad ass choreos and all, plus Christina's powerhouse vocal. This is the type of performance people were expecting from her during the American Idol finale. Well, I guess she saved the best for last!

Bionic / Not Myself Tonight / Woohoo Medley - Christina Aguilera

Next video is from Katy Perry who performed her most recent hit, "California Gurls" with Snoop Dogg. I actually enjoyed this performance very much! Very colorful and fun! It ain't as extravagant as Aguilera's performance but Perry totally nailed it! I really loved the stage design which is very "summery". Really captured the vibe of the song. I hope the music video to this song would turn out as great as this live performance.

Finally! The teaser to Katy Perry's newest hit, "California Gurls" is out and I'm lovin' it! I just love fact that it's colorful and playful as I expected it to be! Plus, we get to see Katy's wacky side again, which made us love her in the first place!

Meanwhile, the song, which was written by the great Dr Luke, is doing a very good job on the Billboard Hot 100 charts, currently at number 2 this week, second to Usher's "OMG."

Checkout the teaser to the song which is currently on repeat on my iPod, below:

Namie Amuro Set To Conquer Manila?

Drive by Clover Leaf in Balintawak and you'll see Namie Amuro's huge Coke Zero billboard (same as this)! It's even bigger than the billboards of Philippines' popular stars Marian Rivera and Angel Locsin!

My jaw literally dropped when I saw Namie Amuro's "Wild" Coke Zero Commercial playing on Philippine TV. My first reaction was "Oh my God! Namie on Philippine TV? What the?! For real?" I was in awe! I've been a fan of hers since "Baby Don't Cry" and one of my wildest dream is for her to be launched here in Manila like what happened to other J-Pop artists like BoA, Tohoshinki and BIGBANG. I even remember asking Universal Music Philippines to release Namie Amuro's albums here in the Philippines during the height of K-Pop's popularity here. Have they heard my request? Well, they could've.

For those who didn't know her, Namie Amuro is a Japanese singer, entertainer, and former actress, who, at the height of her popularity, was referred to as the “Teen Queen” and “Queen of Japanese pop music or J-pop”. Over a decade since her musical debut, Amuro has remained one of the longest surviving popular female acts in Japan. She is the only Japanese female artist to have achieved a Top 10 single each year for fourteen consecutive years. In the country at present, she is becoming more and more known as the Japanese singing sensation who’s gone “wild”; wild at the charts and wild at heart.

Through the support of renowned Japanese record label Avex Entertainment Inc., Amuro’s hit single “Wild” was released in the Philippines recently. The track is dance, R&B and club driven with a futuristic vibe. It marked Amuro’s 11th number one single in Japan. This is the same song playing as the background music on Namie's Coke Zero Commercial which you can watch below:

STM Teaser: Alejandro - Lady GaGa

"Alejandro," Lady GaGa's third single off "The Fame Monster" has already been released to radio. The song has been doing great in the US, peaking at number 6 on Billboard Hot 100. What we have below is the sneak peek of its music video which kinda emulates Madonna's "Vogue" video. The full video will premiere on  June 7. Be sure to checkout STM for that one! Enjoy!
